Clayson House was constructed in 1873 by George Clayson, a nurseryman who served on the Palatine Village Board. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. its
restoration was undertaken as a bicentennial project by the citizens of Palatine Township
and the Palatine Historical Society.
